With uncomplicated sweetness and the ability to roast dark, Peru’s coffees have long been used as solid blending coffees—rarely as single origins. But the coffee cooperative known as Tupac Amaru has been among the first to change that. Its creamy richness makes it quenchable, while its dreamy florality is like walking beneath a jasmine tree on a summer night. It’s a great example of why we love Red Fox Coffee Merchants, the exporter who brought it to us. The company has a knack for finding pioneering growers even deep in the Andes.
